History: First meeting. This is 'Nova's first trip to the final. Montana, which lost in last year's final to Richmond, has won it all twice and also finished runner-up two other times since the mid-1990s.
Villanova update: The Wildcats overcame a 10-0 halftime deficit to beat William & Mary in the semifinals, 14-13. Like Montana, 'Nova has played three playoff games at home ... Matt Szczur made the All-America team as an all-purpose player ... The 'Cats haven't turned it over in the tournament ... They're 7-1 against ranked opponents ... They're trying to become the fourth different Colonial Athletic Association team to win the title in last seven seasons ... Montana made a goal-line stand at the end to avoid overtime ... The Grizzlies average 36.9 points a game, and outscore their opponents by 18.2 ... Chase Reynolds has rushed for 1,439 yards and 22 touchdowns. He's also caught 33 passes for two more scores ... Andrew Selle is 197-for-321 for 2,692 yards, with 25 TDs and six picks ...
