Well, well. The Dallas Cowboys went to New Orleans the other night and handed the Saints their first loss of the season. Things are getting very interesting, Buttons.

Were you surprised that the Boys won a big game in December? And do you enjoy the NFC East drama or are you numb to the late-season theatrics?

I was impressed by what they did in that game. Unlike some other games, the Cowboys didn't look as if they had just met in the bus on the way to the stadium. It was almost like they had a plan.

That outcome, assuming Dallas beats the Redskins next week, makes the final game of the season a great one to anticipate. If it comes down to that game deciding the NFC East, it's the most interesting regular-season game in a long time. Almost makes it worth flying to DFW.

Don't get carried away. DFW is the devil's airport.

I didn't give the Cowboys any shot at all to win that game. Neither did Tony Dungy. He went on TV last week and told Dan Patrick that Dallas had "no chance - none" of beating the Saints. Oops. Anyway, I'm all for the Cowboys' winning that game, if only because it will be even more satisfying when they ultimately fall on their faces in (or before) the playoffs.

On an unrelated note, aren't we missing someone today, Bob? Where's Ashley, and why are we doing her work?

I thought Tony Dungy was answering whether he thought last summer that Michael Vick would really ever get another job in football. "No chance - none."

As for DFW, ask Brookie about it. He had a little run-in there a couple of years ago. Thought he was going to get hauled off. Of course, it was US Airways-related, so he was justified.

Ashley's not here? Are you sure? Maybe she's just waiting until we really need her. I'd say about now would be fine.

Fine. I'll channel Ashley and answer for her since she's decided to abandon us in our hour of need: Gonzo, you're an idiot, etc.

I think we're on to something here, Bob.
