The Celtics' Kevin Garnett has joined Paul Pierce on the sideline. Garnett sat out last night's game vs. the Suns in Phoenix because of a hyperex-
tended right knee.
Garnett hurt the knee in Sunday's loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles, then got kicked in Monday's loss to Golden State.
Coach Doc Rivers said he didn't like the way Garnett "looked at all" against the Warriors.
The Celtics were without Pierce for the fourth game in a row because of an injured right knee.
Last night was the 19-year anniversary of Scott Skiles' NBA-record 30 assists during Orlando's 155-116 win over Denver. Skiles, who spent five seasons with the Magic, said there's hardly a place he goes where people don't ask about that game.
"No offense, but I'll be glad the day it is [broken] because I get kind of tired of talking about it some times," the Milwaukee Bucks coach said after last night's loss to Orlando. "It's one of those things where it all came together in one night. Yeah, it'll be broken at some point."
Former 76er Kyle Korver, a Jazz swingman, missed Utah's win last night over Minnesota and will sit out tonight's game against Oklahoma City because of pain in his surgically repaired left knee.
