The United States will face Turkey on May 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in its final match in this country before the World Cup gets underway in South Africa on June 11, according to US Soccer.

Philadelphia remains in the running to host potential World Cup games should the U.S. be awarded the tournament in 2018 or 2022.

A news conference is scheduled for tomorrow at the NovaCare Complex with Eagles president Joe Banner, Mayor Nutter and Sunil Gulati, the president of the United States Soccer Federation and the chairman of the USA Bid Committee.

The first ticketed event at the Linc was a soccer match between Manchester United and FC Barcelona in August 2003. Lincoln Financial Field also served as the venue for a Gold Cup doubleheader between the United States and Panama and Honduras and Canada last summer, and will host the Union's home opener April 10.
