Trailing 1-0, the IronPigs scored all the runs they needed when Ransom connected for his sixth home run of the season with two outs after singles by Rich Thompson and Luis Maza.
Starter Drew Carpenter (3-2) worked six innings to get the win and Scott Mathieson pitched the ninth for his fourth save.
Lakewood 6, Charleston 3
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Helped by four stolen bases, the BlueClaws bunched all their runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pick up the South Atlantic League win over the Yankees.
Lakewood accounted for four RBI hits in the fifth on doubles by Domingo Santana and Anthony Hewitt, and singles by Jeremy Barnes and Leandro Castro. Barnes and Castro contributed stolen bases to highlight the inning.
In the sixth, Adam Buschini and Santana teamed on a double steal to set up two runs.

AKRON, Ohio - A three-run double by Beau Mills proved to be the big blow in a five-run seventh inning that propelled the Aeros to an Eastern League victory over the Thunder.
Reading postponed
Tuesday's game between the Reading Phillies and the Portland Sea Dogs in Maine was postponed because of rain. The game will be made up June 5.
