Minor Leagues: Lakewood wins in 15 innings

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Jonathan Villar's two-out RBI single sent the Lakewood BlueClaws past the Savannah Sand Gnats, 12-11, in 15 innings in the South Atlantic League on Sunday.

Villar was 3 for 3 with a sacrifice bunt after entering the game as a pinch-runner in the seventh.

Sebastian Valle's two-run, two-out single had tied the game in the bottom of the ninth for Lakewood.

Reading 5, Akron 2

READING - Brian Stavisky went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, and Michael Schwimer pitched three hitless innings of relief to get the win as the Phillies beat the Aeros in the Eastern League.

Domonic Brown had two hits for Reading to raise his batting average to .349.

Columbus 4, Lehigh Valley 3

ALLENTOWN - Shelly Duncan doubled to lead off the 10th and scored the winning run on an infield out as the Clippers beat the IronPigs in the International League.

The IronPigs had tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on an infield out off the bat of Melvin Dorta.

Trenton 15, Bowie 4

TRENTON - David Adams had a double, a triple, and four RBIs as the Thunder beat the Baysox in the Eastern League.
