Having towered over the competition this season, Central continued that domination in the District 12 girls' soccer championship game at Northeast High on Thursday.

The Lancers scored twice in the first half and handled Franklin Towne Charter, 3-0, to win their seventh-straight league title. Central has outscored its opponents this year by 72-1.

Kiara Cannady scored off an assist from her sister, Nafeesah, 18 minutes into the game, and Tali Fish added a goal off a Megan Wadlinger assist 10 minutes later.

Nafeesah Cannady closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal with two minutes left in the game.

"It was a very spirited game," first-year coach Fred Brannon said. "They gave us a game. We were up to the task. The girls were very focused. It was wonderful to continue the tradition we established in girls' soccer."
