Lacrosse accomplishments: A three-year varsity player and two-year starter, MacAdam had 67 goals and 33 assists this year for a Holy Cross team that finished No. 10 in the Inquirer South Jersey rankings. She ended her career with 92 goals.
Lacrosse history: MacAdam didn't begin playing the sport until her freshman year. "A bunch of my friends talked me into going out, and I really liked the fast pace of the game and how it moves," she said.
Future: MacAdam has received a lacrosse and academic scholarship to Mount St. Mary's, where she is leaning toward a major in business. A second-team Inquirer all-South Jersey soccer selection, MacAdam said that she hasn't decided whether to play the sport in college, but that she won't during her first year.
Did you know? MacAdam didn't have high expectations when she began lacrosse. "I didn't think I would do well at first," she said. "It helped that I am pretty athletic and I had great people pushing me, encouraging me and helping me along."
The final word: "What I liked most about playing lacrosse at Holy Cross is that it was a family-type atmosphere and we have such a great tradition," she said. "Everybody gives their all and the people would do anything for you, and it was great to have such a great support system and be part of a program that has so much pride."
