Penn basketball coach Jerome Allen added Rudy Wise to his staff as an assistant coach. Wise joins Mike Martin and Dan Leibovitz on the Quakers' staff.
"He has been successful in a number of walks of life, including basketball," Allen said of Wise. "I look forward to having him on the bench with me, and I think he will have a positive impact on our program going forward."
"I am extremely humbled and excited to be a part of this storied program," said Wise.
A native of South Carolina, Wise was a graduate assistant intern on Jay Wright's staff at Villanova for the 2006-07 season. Last summer, he organized and operated weekly summer workouts for the Temple men's basketball program and coached in Temple coach Fran Dunphy's summer camps.
Wise is a 2003 graduate of Lake Forest (Ill.) College and holds a master's degree in strategic communications from Villanova.
