Zoubek stays in NJ, signs with the Nets
The New Jersey Nets announced yesterday that they signed free agent Brian Zoubek. The 7-1 Zoubek, of Haddonfield, went undrafted despite helping Duke win the national championship, averaging 5.6 points and 7.7 rebounds this past season. For his career, he averaged 4.2 points and 4.5 rebounds in 133 games.

Zoubek led Haddonfield High to a 4-year record of 110-10 with three straight state championships. He averaged 24.7 points, 12.3 rebounds and 4.2 blocks per game as a senior to earn New Jersey state player of the year honors in 2006 .
