Michigan State coach Tom Izzo will serve a one-game suspension for a secondary violation of NCAA rules tied to a summer-basketball camp.

Michigan State officials said Friday that the school employed someone associated with a potential recruit during a basketball camp last June. The person was paid $475 for five days of working with middle schoolers. Izzo said he regrets what happened and called it an unintentional rules violation.

Izzo will sit out Saturday's game against Prairie View A&M. Michigan State (7-3) is ranked No. 14 in the country.

Pitino up for Puerto Rico job. Louisville coach Rick Pitino will meet with Puerto Rico basketball officials on Sunday in Miami to discuss coaching their national team in next summer's pre-Olympic qualifying tournament.

Charlotte 49, Tennessee 48 - Derrio Green scored 13 points, fed Phil Jones for the go-ahead layup with 7.4 seconds left, and the host 49ers (5-6) handed the No. 7 Volunteers (7-2) their second stunning upset loss of the week.
