La Salle women fall to Florida International
Explorers lose big in Gator Holiday Classic.
Jerica Coley scored 33 points to help lead Florida International to an easy, 84-58 win over the La Salle Explorers yesterday in the Gator Holiday Classic in Gainesville, Fla.
The Explorers' only lead game early in the game, as they got out to a 7-2 lead with 3 minutes gone. After that, it was all FIU (4-5).
Alicia Cropper and Micahya Owens had 13 points each to lead La Salle (3-6), which will play 4:30 p.m. today against Tennessee State, which lost, 86-56, to host Florida in the late game.
