NFL: Jets, Browns and Lions fire their coaches

The New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and winless Detroit Lions fired their coaches yesterday, a day after the end of the NFL regular season. However, Dallas coach Wade Phillips retained his job after Sunday's humiliating 44-6 loss to the Eagles that deprived the Cowboys of a berth in the playoffs.
