What I Do

I’m the Deputy Managing Editor for News and lead a dedicated team of talented editors and reporters covering politics and government, justice and injustice, and education.

My Background

I joined The Inquirer in 2022 to work as the deputy editor for the More Perfect Union project examining the roots of systemic racism through institutions founded in Philadelphia.

Previously, I worked as a news editor at WHYY. I began my career as a news reporter in New York, working for the Brooklyn Paper. Following Hurricane Katrina, I relocated to New Orleans where I cofounded The Lens, a nonprofit news website, and reported on local government for five years before returning to the East Coast.

I graduated from Oberlin College and live in Philadelphia with my family.
