What I Do
I am the Editor of The Inquirer, and I oversee all parts of the newsroom.
My Background
I have been the Editor of The Inquirer since 2020. Prior to that I held several leadership positions, including managing editor. I spent 16 years at the Washington Post, including stints as a reporter on the local and national desks. I was also the Post's Latin American bureau chief, based in Argentina, and for six years I served as city editor. Prior to the Post, I was a reporter at the Philadelphia Daily News and the Hartford Courant.
I was born in Bogota, Colombia, and emigrated to New York City when I was seven. I have a bachelor's degree in creative writing from Queens College (CUNY) and a master's in journalism from the University of Maryland.
