Dr. Elizabeth B. Rand

Dr. Elizabeth B. Rand is medical director of the<a href="http://www.chop.edu/consumer/jsp/division/service.jsp?id=26711"> Liver Transplant Program</a> at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. A 1987 graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, she completed her residency in general pediatrics at  Johns Hopkins Hospital and then returned to the University of Chicago in 1990 for a three-year fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology with a focus on liver disease and transplantation.

She joined Children's Hospital in 1993. She is also an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Rand, Nadia's primary physician, will answer questions about pediatric liver disease from Tuesday, Oct. 2 through  Tuesday, Oct. 9. Her colleague on the medical team, Dr. Kim M. Olthoff, is answering <a href="http://www.philly.com/inquirer/ask/guest/inquirerforum7/">questions about liver transplants in children</a>, through Oct. 3.
