He had been director of marketing and communications at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and is a former associate editor at the Philadelphia Daily News and former director of advertising, planning and development at Philadelphia Newspapers Inc., the onetime publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. ?
