Delaware County Community College on Tuesday announced a $100,000 grant from Sunoco Logistics Partners LP of Newtown Square, which will help fund training and education of students for careers in process control technology.
The training is aimed at students seeking employment in automated manufacturing and production facilities, including natural gas, oil distribution, food processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Sunoco is expanding operations at its Marcus Hook Industrial Complex, the terminus of the 350-mile Mariner East pipeline that will receive propane and other materials from the Marcellus Shale region.
