Camden’s DJ Wagner plans to enter the transfer portal, according to a report from On3 on Monday.

The 6-foot-3 guard spent the last two seasons at Arkansas after starting his college career at Kentucky, playing all three seasons under coach John Calipari. Now he will look to play for his third college in four years.

Wagner averaged 7.4 points and 1.6 rebounds this season. In three college seasons, he has averaged 9.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 100 games, starting 83 of them.

After averaging nearly 35 minutes a game during his first season at Arkansas, Wagner saw a drop in minutes, playing more of a bench role for the Razorbacks in Year 2. Wagner averaged 25.8 minutes this season in 15 games, starting 19 of them.

Arkansas fell in the Sweet 16 for the second year in a row, losing to Arizona, 109-88.

At Camden High, Wagner, whose father, Dajuan, was also an all-time great at the school, was the New Jersey Player of the Year for three straight seasons. He averaged 19.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.1 steals during his junior year, helping lead Camden to a NJSIAA Group 2 state championship.

Wagner’s grandfather, Milt, was a Camden High grad as well, who went on to play at Louisville and for two seasons in the NBA.

Wagner will have one year of eligibility left.
