Drexel uses balanced scoring to defeat Elon, 71-60

Five Drexel players scored in double figures as the Dragons defeated host Elon, 71-60, on Saturday.

Forward Melik Martin and guards Coletrane Washington and Xavier Bell scored 12 points apiece, while forward Amari Williams and guard Camen Wynter added 10 each for the Dragons (14-12), who led, 32-21, at halftime.

Darius Burford led the Phoenix (8-21) with 31 points.

James Butler chipped in seven points and Tre Brown six for Drexel.
