Penn State’s athletic department reports one positive COVID-19 result out of 268 athletes’ tests

In the last six reports released by the department, 1,963 student-athletes have been tested, with 19 of them coming back positive.

Penn State’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics said Wednesday that one student-athlete had tested positive for COVID-19 out of 222 tested from Aug. 24-28.

The department also announced that of 46 tests that were not included in last week’s report and none came back positive. Those tests were performed Aug. 17-21.

According to the last six reports from the athletic department, 1,963 student-athletes have been tested since July 10. Nineteen tests have come back positive.
