Clark Slajchert’s last-second layup nets Penn an 89-88 win over Brown

The Quakers defeated the Brown Bears by a single point.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Clark Slajchert hit a layup with 0.4 seconds left to give the Penn Quakers an 89-88 Ivy League win over host Brown on Saturday night in Providence, R.I.

Slajchert’s winner came after the Bears had taken a one-point lead with 5 seconds left following a Kino Lilly Jr. three-pointer.

Jordan Dingle led the Quakers (12-13, 9-3 Ivy) with a game-high 31 points. Max Martz added 18, Slajchert 16, and Mike Moshkovitz 12.

The Bears (12-15, 4-8) were led by Lilly Jr.’s 20, followed by Dan Friday’s 19 and Tamenang Choh’s 15.
