Perhaps the University of Virginia men’s basketball team doesn’t like fast food.

UVA announced Friday they were declining the White House’s invitation to celebrate their NCAA championship, led by former Friends’ Central star De’Andre Hunter.

“We have received inquires about a visit to the White House,” said Cavaliers coach Tony Bennett in a release. “With several players either pursuing pro opportunities or moving on from UVA, it would be difficult, if not impossible to get everyone back together. We would have to respectfully decline an invitation.”

Hunter had 27 points and nine rebounds in Virginia’s national championship win over Texas Tech on April 8. The potential NBA lottery pick averaged 15.2 points in his sophomore season.

It is unclear whether the White House would even have extended an invitation. Villanova coach Jay Wright said his team wasn’t invited last season.

The Clemson football team received and accepted an invitation to celebrate its national championship, and received a fast food dinner because of the government shutdown taking place at the time.
