Two men killed in what police believe is a ‘targeted’ shooting in Crescentville
More than 50 shell casings were found at the scene of the double fatal shooting in Crescentville, police said.

Two men were killed in a torrent of gunfire early Monday morning in Crescentville in what police believe was a targeted shooting.
Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 700 block of Adams Avenue at 3:46 a.m. and they found two men unresponsive, said Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore.
A 30-year-old man was on the ground next to the passenger door of a Jeep Cherokee, with gunshot wounds to his torso and face, and a 32-year-old man was found in the driver’s seat and also had been shot in face and torso, he said.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene just before 4 a.m., police said. Police did not immediately identify the victims.
More than 50 fired shell casings were found at the scene, said Vanore, and police are searching for at least two shooters.
There have been 22 homicides in the city as of Sunday, according to police data. At the same time last year, 33 homicides had been reported, the data show.
