A 22-year-old Bear, Del., man has been charged with a number of weapons offenses in connection with an early-morning shooting at Pat’s King of Steaks in December that left no one injured.

Darius Blalock was arguing with a group of people outside the popular walk-up eatery at Ninth Street and East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia when he fired multiple shots about 5:45 a.m. Dec. 27 before fleeing in a vehicle, according to a statement from the District Attorney’s Office.

The statement said Blalock does not have a valid concealed-weapons license in Delaware or Pennsylvania, and credits surveillance video and tips from the public in helping police identify him.

The charges against Blalock include two counts of violations of the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act, possession of an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person.

“It is lucky that no one was harmed during this incident,” District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement. “But workers, customers, and passersby were all endangered.”

Bail was set at 10% of $200,000 and a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 17.
