A Haddonfield man was killed and another man was injured in a road rage shooting in Southwest Philadelphia on Saturday, authorities said.

Miguel Quinones-Barreto, 20, was struck by gunfire around 4:50 p.m. on the 5200 block of Chester Avenue, according to police.

He had traveled from New Jersey to Philadelphia that afternoon to attend a bike meetup near the Art Museum that had been promoted on social media, according to a law enforcement source who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

Investigators said the incident began when the driver of a 2006 Toyota Highlander got involved in an accident with a group of men riding e-bikes and off-road vehicles.

After the men chased and surrounded the Toyota, a confrontation began and someone inside the vehicle opened fire, the source said.

Officers arrived to find Quinones-Barreto and a 25-year-old man, whom they did not identify, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The men were rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where Quinones-Barreto was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m.

The other man received treatment for a gunshot wound to the arm and is in stable condition, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made. They released images of two men riding in the Toyota on Monday and urged anyone who recognized them to come forward.

There is a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
