"Faces and Places," an exhibit of portraits and landscapes by the Manayunk Artists' Co-Op, opens with a reception this afternoon. The works — paintings, drawings, photos, sculpture and mixed media — range from strict realism through expressionism to almost abstract.

Renowned storyteller Peninnah Schram shares the wit and wisdom that Jews have transmitted from one generation to the next, in a family-friendly event called "Have I Got a Story for You!" The hour-long storytelling will be followed by an afternoon family-history workshop.
