Biden's wife hurt in crash

Jill Tracy Biden, wife of U.S. Sen Joe Biden, D-Del., was involved in a traffic accident yesterday on Interstate 95 in New Castle, Del. She was treated for minor injuries and released.

According to Delaware State Police, Mrs. Biden was driving south in the left lane in a 2001 BMW when a tractor-trailer moved into her lane and struck her vehicle. The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. just south of the Route 141 junction with I-95.

The truck driver, Duane Vanderbosh of Perryville, Md., was unhurt. He was cited for careless driving, according to Fox News.Com.

In 1972, just after Biden was first elected to the Senate, his first wife and 18-month-old daughter were killed in a truck crash. *
