Gamblers took risk with kids

NEWARK, Del. - Delaware State Police have accused a Pennsylvania couple of leaving their two children in the car while they gambled at Delaware Park.

Police say Juan Mingucha, 33, and Marisol Santos-Mingucha, 31, of Reading, are charged with endangering a child's welfare and conspiracy.

About 4 p.m. Saturday, a security officer at the Delaware Park Race Track and Slots saw the children, a 10-year-old and a 6-year-old, in a car.

Police say the Minguchas left their children in the vehicle about an hour earlier to go inside and play the slot machines.

The children have been turned over to a family member. *
