YORK - A 38-year-old Philadelphia man is denying allegations that he had a consensual but illegal sexual relationship with an underage high-school student while serving as a counselor at a Christian camp in central Pennsylvania.

Curtis Wayns is on trial in York County, charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 16, corruption of minors, indecent assault on a person under 16 and illegal contact or communication with a minor.

The student testified on Monday that he had three sexual encounters with Wayns at Camp Teen Haven, in Chanceford Township, in 2004, '05 and '06.

Wayns was fired from the camp after his arrest last year. He had been the dean of camp discipline, had taught ministry and trained other camp leaders. *
