Jailed for threats
PITTSBURGH - Phillip Clayton, 36, of Meyersdale, has been sentenced to six years, five months in federal prison for writing letters threatening court officials and President Obama while he was a federal inmate.
PITTSBURGH - Phillip Clayton, 36, of Meyersdale, has been sentenced to six years, five months in federal prison for writing letters threatening court officials and President Obama while he was a federal inmate.
Clayton allegedly sent threatening letters from lockups in western Pennsylvania, Ohio and Victorville, Calif. He was serving a three-year term for failing to register as a sex offender in Pennsylvania because of a California conviction.
