FREEHOLD, N.J. - A New Jersey teacher and her father have been charged with murdering the woman's ex-husband, whose body was found in the trunk of a burning car.

Kathleen Dorsett of Ocean Township was arrested Monday. A judge yesterday continued her bail at $1.5 million. Dorsett's attorney, Barry Slott, told the judge he had advised his client of her rights.

Dorsett's father, Thomas Dorsett, was arrested yesterday afternoon. He's being held under guard at a Monmouth County hospital.

Kathleen Dorsett and Stephen Moore were married in 2007 and divorced in June.

Authorities say Moore was last seen dropping off the couple's 20-month-old daughter at Dorsett's home on Aug. 16.

Moore's body was found Aug. 18 in his mother's burned car in Long Branch.
