Explorers fall short to N. Texas

The Explorers couldn't complete a late comeback in their loss at Tom Gola Arena on Wednesday night.

La Salle's Amy Griffin had a career-high 26 points, going 7-for-17 from the field and 10-for-12 from the foul line. Griffin and Jasmine Alston both grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

The Explorers got to within 63-61 game on an Iyonna Crenshaw free throw with 1:05 left.

Micahya Owens picked up a career-high seven steals to go with 16 points.
