About the Predators: Started 0-5, but have won their last two since acquiring quarterback Aaron Garcia in a trade. Garcia, 42, has thrown 17 touchdowns and one interception in the two games and had 442 yards passing in last week's dramatic upset of Spokane. Remember, the field is only 50 yards long . . .

Orlando coach Doug Plank is making his first return to Philadelphia since resigning as the Soul's coach last summer.

About the Soul: It is heading in the opposite direction. The Soul is 0-3 at home, including last week's last-minute loss to Pittsburgh in which Philadelphia was favored by more than three touchdowns . . . The signing of quarterback Dustin Almond is likely a move to push starter Dan Raudabaugh, who has struggled at times. Almond played collegiately at Southern Miss from 2002-05 . . . Defensive lineman Bryan Robinson is getting married this weekend and will not play . . . The first 5,000 fans will receive shirts and rally towels as the Soul try to raise awareness for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Poll position: The Soul has slipped to seventh in the weekly coaches poll. Orlando, despite being 2-5, is ranked 10th in the 14-team league.

Up next: The Soul plays at Tampa Bay (5-3) next Saturday, May 25, at 7:30.
