About the Soul: Defensive lineman Ko Quaye is penciled in to make his first start in place of starter Dustin Barno, who suffered a biceps injury last week and could miss the rest of the season . . . Quaye played for Tampa Bay last season . . . Another defensive lineman, Morkeith Brown, is battling turf toe and will be a game-time decision . . . Has won its last three on the road . . . Running back Derrick Ross is 70 yards away from becoming the league's all-time rushing leader. Ross (1,502) should pass Bob McMillen (1,506) this week, which would leave only Bo Kelly (1,571) ahead of him.

About the Storm: It all starts with quarterback Adrian McPherson, who played collegiately at Florida State. He has thrown 40 touchdowns and only three interceptions. McPherson also leads the league in rushing yards (297) and rushing touchdowns (24). If there were a fantasy league for arena football, he'd be the top pick . . . Tampa Bay's defense has had at least two interceptions in five consecutive games.

Stat to note: Tampa Bay is second in the league with a turnover margin of plus-14. The Soul is middle of the pack at minus-4. That's "why they're 6-3 and we're 4-4," Soul coach Clint Dolezel said.

Poll position: The Soul is ranked sixth in the weekly coaches poll. Tampa Bay moved up two spots to No. 3 following last week's 28-point win at Pittsburgh. Arizona is first, followed by San Jose.

Up next: The Soul hosts Arizona on June 1 in a rematch of a Soul loss in Week 1. Start time was changed to 4:05 p.m. to allow for a postgame father-daughter dance featuring Caroline Sunshine, of the Disney Channel show "Shake it Up." Never know what you'll read in a Soul preview box, do you?
