Hollis Thomas: Eagles, Phillies shared porn at Vet

HOLLIS THOMAS says the Phillies and Eagles had something in common besides a concrete-hard field when they shared the Vet: porn.

The former Eagles defensive tackle, who is now with 94WIP, told the station's "Morning Show" that the teams shared a big, blue chest full of pornography.

"[The Phillies] did have an awesome . . . we used to share like the shower and restroom area at the Vet, and they had an awesome collection of porn," Thomas said. "They did, it was just like a bunch of books in there. It was just in a chest. When I first got there I was like, 'What is this?' They was like, 'This is reading material'. I was like, 'Reading material?'

"Everybody knows about the blue chest. It was an array, a pretty good array of magazines. You actually had a variety, too. It was almost like a newsstand, put it that way. Actually, yeah, it was the precursor to the Internet. You just picked up one, and there was a little sign that said when you're done with the book, put it back. I did get a couple of books where the pages were stuck together."

As if the story needed any collaboration, a fellow who goes by the Twitter handle "Mike Kane," who claimed to have been an Eagles ballboy back in the day, tweeted the following to CBS Philly's Spike Eskin: "i was a ballboy in 95 and can confirm that story. best part is the trunk had a "beavers" sticker on it"

It should be noted that Thomas is on a roll of sorts when it comes to breaking news.

In February, he reported that former Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha ate lunch in his car at practice instead of with his teammates.

At the time, Thomas said sources told him Asomugha did so in order to get some "me" time.

What will Thomas' next scoop be? Perhaps he can tell us what happened to that big, blue chest.
