Sources: Eagles’ Landon Dickerson (elbow) expected to play in the Super Bowl
Dickerson suffered a hyperextension of his right elbow, but an MRI on Monday came back negative, according to NFL sources.
Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson suffered a hyperextension of his right elbow Sunday, but an MRI on Monday came back negative and he is expected to play in the Super Bowl, NFL sources said.
Dickerson received treatment on the elbow Monday at the NovaCare Complex. He will likely wear a brace during practices and in the game.
The second-year offensive lineman left the NFC championship game in the fourth quarter and was replaced by Andre Dillard. Dickerson was spotted wearing a brace after the on-field celebration.
The Eagles’ offensive line, particularly Dickerson and the interior, will face a strong Chiefs defensive line led by All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones. Jones had two sacks in Kansas City’s 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC championship game.
