Havertown Acme rescinds Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce cake for a Jason Kelce-Eagles cake

“Obviously, we bleed green,” an Acme spokesperson said.

The battle — or batter — for Super Bowl LIX is already heating up at a Havertown Acme supermarket.

On Monday, a photo went viral on X (formerly Twitter) showing a cookie cake at the Delco grocery that read: “go Taylor’s boyfriend. 87,” a nod to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — a.k.a. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend and, more important, Jason Kelce’s little brother.

The dessert left Eagles fans feeling straight-up betrayed.

“They’re selling this at the Acme in Havertown. UNACCEPTABLE,” posted Birds fan Jeff McDevitt.

Philly fans don’t take kindly to enemy colors infiltrating home turf, and it didn’t take long for someone inside Acme to intervene.

Shortly after the cake started making the rounds online, an X user — who appeared to be an Acme employee — posted a video of the offending dessert being ceremoniously walked over to the trash can and spiked like in a touchdown celebration.

“What is this garbage? One of the decorators at my store thought it would be a good idea. Screw that,” the person in the video said before tossing the cake. “I personally made sure this one got its proper demise as soon as it was brought to my attention.”

Case closed? Not quite.

By noon the next day, Acme’s official social media account stepped in to set the record straight, replying to McDevitt’s post with a photo of a brand new cake.

“Fixed it,” they wrote, unveiling a proper Eagles-themed version, featuring Midnight Green frosting, Birds helmets, and zero traces of Chiefs red.

Turns out, the rogue cake decorator behind the Swift-Kelce confection went a little off script.

“I will be honest with you; this was a rogue cake,” said Acme’s regional spokesperson, Dana Ward. “Obviously we bleed green at Acme Market. We did have someone in the bakery department that may have a liking for Taylor Swift, and they went a little rogue on us this year.”

According to Ward, the Taylor-Travis cake design was in rotation last year when the Chiefs were in the Super Bowl but was not meant to be on offer this year. Ward confirmed that opposing-team cakes are no longer being served at Acme.

“I can tell you that there are no Taylor Swift cookie cakes left in Acme Bakery,” she said.
