"Tunnel of Oppression" at Rutgers-Camden

Rutgers-Camden, for the fourth year in a row, converts the student center into a "Tunnel of Oppression." Student actors present a series of skits where visitors are exposed to scenes of abuse, discrimination, and harassment, raising awareness through immersion. By TOM GRALISH / Staff Photographer

Rutgers–Camden students tour the "Tunnel of Oppression," on campus February 23, 2016, passing sheets covered in racial slurs, sexist insults, demeaning and hateful phrases that students might have heard, as they pass through different rooms watching student actors putting on skits about different issues. (this sheet was depression and suicide - there didn't appear to be any unprintable language anywhere on it). TOM GRALISH / Staff Photographer
