Love | Jacqueline and Robert Delannoy

Married Feb. 16, 1957, at Old St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Willings Alley, in front of six guests. Neither set of parents could attend. Jacqueline wore her sister's wedding dress, cut to a daytime-appropriate tea-length and sent from her home country of Haiti. Jacqueline walked to the altar alone - "No one could take the place of my father," she says. Afterward, they lunched at the best man's (Lee Raden) mother's home in Bryn Mawr, and honeymooned at a friend's country house in Barto, Pa.
