Cam York launches his stick, Philly blares Mac Miller, and more celebrations from Flyers’ series win vs. Penguins

In addition to Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” the Flyers also played their victory song from the last time they beat the Penguins in the playoffs: “Knock, Knock” by late Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller.

After nearly 78 minutes of scoreless hockey in Game 6, it was a goal in overtime from Flyers defenseman Cam York that ended this round of the “Battle of Pennsylvania,” and eliminated the Pittsburgh Penguins from the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Flyers advance to face the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round.

After the win, the postgame festivities commenced, starting with York and his stick-launching celebration.

While Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” may be the current victory anthem for the Flyers, that didn’t stop them from paying homage to their 2011-12 victory song, “Knock Knock” by late rapper Mac Miller, a Pittsburgh native. Following the 1-0 win on Wednesday, both songs played in Xfinity Mobile Arena.
