Flyers full injury report includes broken bones for Travis Konecny, Cam York, Noah Cates, and Christian Dvorak
Konecny, York, and Dvorak all had broken ribs in addition to other ailments, while Garnet Hathaway (leg) and Emil Andrae (wrist) also broke bones.

“A tradition unlike any other.”
No, we aren’t talking about the Masters, we are referring to the annual tradition of NHL teams revealing their CVS-like receipts of the barbaric — and often unfathomable — injuries their players pushed through in pursuit of Lord Stanley’s Cup.
While some Flyers players revealed what they were going through at Tuesday’s locker cleanout day, the team released the full extent of the damage with an injury report on Thursday. All we have to say is: Ouch!
In addition to the previous revelation that Owen Tippett missed the second round of the playoffs with “internal bleeding” and a core muscle injury (sports hernia), several other Flyers were playing through significant injuries.

Noah Cates, who was knocked out midway through the Carolina series with a lower-body injury, broke his foot on that first-period shot block in Game 2. Travis Konecny, Cam York, and Christian Dvorak all were dealing with broken ribs, with Dvorak also pushing through a separated shoulder, and Konecny suffering a nasal fracture.
Garnet Hathaway and Emil Andrae declined to mention injuries in their media availabilities on Tuesday but were listed with broken bones on Thursday. Hathaway had a broken fibula (lower leg) and Andrae had a fractured wrist that will require offseason surgery.
Rounding out the new injury updates were unknown ailments for Trevor Zegras (ligament sprain), Alex Bump (MCL sprain), and Nikita Grebenkin (upper-body). Grebenkin’s injury occurred in late March and knocked him out for the rest of the season. At his media availability Thursday, general manager Danny Brière said Grebenkin could miss time early next season.
Goalie Dan Vladař previously revealed he is nursing an injury from the Pittsburgh series that will prevent him from representing Czechia at the World Championships, while Rodrigo Ābols missed the last four months with a fractured right fibula, a tear in his syndesmosis joint (also in his right leg), and an injured deltoid. Winger Tyson Foerster returned in April after missing 49 games and undergoing surgery on an upper-body injury (arm/shoulder) he suffered in December.
In more positive news, of the injuries listed, only Andrae’s is expected to require surgery.
