Joel Farabee off COVID-19 protocol list, will play Saturday
Nate Prosser was called up from the taxi squad ahead of Saturday afternoon's game at Pittsburgh.
Joel Farabee was removed off the COVID-19 protocol list and will play today against Pittsburgh.
Farabee, tied for the team lead with 10 goals, was a late scratch on Thursday. It’s unclear what caused him to be put on the list, which requires players and staff to be quarantined for anything from coronavirus symptoms to contact tracing to a false-positive COVID-19 test.
The Flyers also called up defenseman Nate Prosser from the taxi squad, a likely indication that Phil Myers will not play. Myers took a heavy hit while attempting a shot on goal in the second period on Thursday.
The Flyers are coming off their most stirring win of the season after erasing an early three-goal deficit. They’ll hustle home right after the game to prepare for Sunday’s visit by the Capitals, which will feature fans at the Wells Fargo Center for the first time in nearly a year.
