A 23-year-old man was critically wounded when he was shot while sitting in a car Thursday evening in West Philadelphia, police said.

About 6:05 p.m. in the 800 block of North Hutton Street, the man was shot several times in his upper body while he was inside a beige Chevrolet Impala, police said.

A medic unit took the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, police said. No arrests were reported. - Robert Moran
