Snow is likely this afternoon and again tonight with accumulations of about an inch possible in the Philadelphia area, the National Weather Service says.

Snow is likely later this afternoon and tonight with accumulations of about an inch or two possible in the Philadelphia area, the National Weather Service says.

The high today is not expected to get above 32.

The snow is part of a quick moving system that has not intensified to the level of a storm.

It is expected to start falling in the western suburbs after 4 p.m. and leave the area before 11 p.m., according to the NWS.

A coastal storm forecast for Wednesday night is expected to bring more snow before turning into rain early Thursday, the weather service says.
