Construction begins on PATCO parking lots

Construction crews began work Monday on a seven-month, $2.6 million project to improve PATCO parking lots at Collingswood and Camden's Ferry Avenue stations.

Construction crews began work Monday on a seven-month, $2.6 million project to improve PATCO parking lots at Collingswood and Camden's Ferry Avenue stations.

The paving and reconstruction work will restrict available spots at the Collingswood station, forcing some commuters to park at other PATCO stations.

After the work is completed, the Collingswood station will have an additional 80 spaces, PATCO officials said.

The project marks the final stage of a $9.8 million, multiyear effort to repave all parking lots and access roads at PATCO stations.
