Diana Parker pitched a complete game, giving up one hit and striking out 16 in Delsea’s 5-0 South Group 3 first round softball win over Absegami on Thursday.

Brianna Booras added two hits and two RBIs, as the Crusaders play Seneca in the second round on Monday.

Also in South Group 3, Emily Spencer had 14 strikeouts in Seneca’s 3-2 win over Deptford. Jenna Flemings, Alexys Vernier, and Madi Walker each had RBIs for the Golden Eagles.

Staying in South Group 3, Hammonton beat Timber Creek, 7-3. Mikaila Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the fourth inning, as the Blue Devils scored two runs in each of the first three innings. Hammonton plays the winner of Ocean City and Highland in the semifinals.

Shawnee downed Williamstown, 2-1, in the South Group 4 first round. Both teams scored their runs in the second inning. The Renegades had a chance to break the game open in the bottom of the third with bases loaded and no outs, but were held scoreless. They will play Southern in the quarterfinals.

Staying in the South Group 4 first round, Marina Costello pitched a complete game, striking out four and allowing four hits for Kingsway, which beat Washington Township, 9-3. Delany Patella had two hits and three RBIs for the Dragons. Kingsway plays Millville next round. Millville beat Eastern, 4-1, to advance.

Elsewhere in South Group 4, Rancocas Valley downed Cherry Hill East, 11-0. Brianna Burd had three RBIs. Gianna Guerriero had a triple and two RBIs. The top-seeded Red Devils play the winner of Gloucester Tech and Brick Memorial next round.

Also in South Group 4, Cherokee fell to Toms River North, 6-4. Adrianna Shannon, Jordyn Deveney, and Alexa McNeem all had doubles in the loss.

Payton MacNair’s triple and two doubles paced Cinnaminson to a 13-0 win over Haddonfield in the first round of South Group 2 action. Samantha Hoban went 3-for-3 with a home run and a double. Riece Onorato had nine strikeouts and pitched a five-inning complete game. Maddie Figiel went 3-for-3 as well.

Elsewhere in South Group 2, Audubon shut out Medford Tech, 24-0. The top-seeded Green Wave led 6-0 after the first and tacked on another 15 runs in the second. Olivia Malinowski went 4-for-5 with three RBIs, and Sydney Eggleston went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Jena Imperiale and Morgan Hearn combined for nine RBIs. Audubon faces Manchester Township in the quarterfinals.

Also in the first round of South Group 2 play, Sterling beat Barnegat, 10-1. Kailey Sims went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. The Silver Knights head to Haddon Heights in the quarterfinals.

Staying in South Group 2, Haddon Heights advanced with a 5-1 win over West Deptford.

Bailey Enoch struck out 11 to lead Burlington Township over Neptune, 12-0, in the Central Group 3 first round. Anaya Hunte had two hits and drove in a run for the top-seeded Falcons, who play Ewing next.

Keeping put in the Central Group 3 first round, Brook Hampton had 14 strikeouts in Westampton Tech’s 7-4 win over Nottingham. The Panthers broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the sixth round, as Ailah Charles went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. The Panthers go to second-seed Northern Burlington next round.

Also in Central Group 3, Northern Burlington beat Hopewell Valley, 16-0.

Bordentown shut out East Brunswick Tech in the Central Group 2 first round, 16-0. Annabella Pisapia threw a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12. Haley Cope had two doubles and three RBIs, while Michaela Luyber and Angelina Marino had two RBIs apiece. The Scotties face Johnson in the quarterfinals.

Maple Shade beat Clayton, 9-5, in the South Group 1 first round. Samantha Pietrow went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Morgan Hart also had two RBIs for the Wildcats, who scored four runs in the sixth to take a 9-3 lead. Maple Shade heads to third-seeded Schalick next.

Also in South Group 1, Paige Coleman’s nine strikeouts led Schalick to an 8-1 win over Gateway. Coleman also went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and a run.

Elsewhere in South Group 1, Danielle Werts and Paige Wilson each drove in two runs, as Pennsville shut out Palmyra, 5-0. The Eagles will face top-seeded Gloucester.

Anica Jones went 3-for-4 with three runs as Gloucester Tech beat Clearview, 7-0. Rylee Lutz pitched a complete game and struck out 14 for the Cheetahs. Gabi Mills and Sabrina Finneran combined for five hits and five RBIs, while Madison Luedtke had a two-run home run.

Camden Catholic beat Paul VI, 1-0, scoring the game’s only run in the third inning.

Girls’ Lacrosse

Devon Kelty netted a game-high five goals to lead Woodstown to a 16-1 win over Our Lady of Mercy in the South Group 1 quarterfinals. Daisy Baldwin added four goals, while Charlie Baldwin had two goals and three assists. The Wolverines will play the winner of Holy Spirit and Moorestown Friends in the semifinals Monday.

Staying in South Group 1, Bishop Eustace took a 6-1 halftime lead to help beat Holy Cross, 12-10. Veronika O’Donnell and Rachael Cardone had four goals apiece for the Crusaders. Cardone added five assists, while Ava Taylor had a hat trick for the Lancers.

Also in South Group 1, Meghan Roberts had a game-high nine goals for Moorestown Friends to down Holy Spirit, 18-5. Roberts has a combined 17 goals in the last two games after netting eight in the team’s 14-0 win over Maple Shade on Wednesday.

Michielli Grace recorded a hat trick in Sterling’s 19-1 rout over Maple Shade. Tori Wilsey added two goals for the Silver Knights, who led 14-0 after the first half.

Boys’ Tennis

Lenape beat Toms River North, 5-0, to advance to the South Group 4 championship. Ahbi Chauhan won 6-0, 6-0, over Mohammed Soltani. Ayush Nair and Amit Ampolu downed Ishan Shah and Joshua Menack, 6-2, 6-0. The Indians will take on Cherry Hill East in the title game on Monday.

Adam Yu won 6-0, 6-0, over Jake Mostoller to lead Cherry Hill East to the South Group 4 final against Lenape. Brett Schuster was able to beat Ethan Bentley, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).

St. Augustine beat Donovan Catholic in the South Non-Public A semifinals, 5-0. Phil Ritchie beat Carson Barry, 6-0, 6-0. The top-seeded Hermits will play second-seed Notre Dame in the final on Monday.

Baseball

Nick Squazzo’s four-hit day helped him surpass 100 in his career and led Haddon Township to a 13-3 win over Paulsboro. Squazzo had three doubles, three RBIs and scored three runs for the Hawks.

Nate Liedtka’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh gave Shawnee a 7-6 walk-off win over Washington Township. Liedtka came up after an intentional walk by the Minutemen, loading the bases for the Renegades, who gave up three runs in the top of the seventh.

Mike Guzzardo’s go-ahead single in the top of the 10th led Bishop Eustace to an 8-6 win over Camden Catholic. The Crusaders took a 6-3 lead with a John Piacentino three-run home run, but Henry DaVerso responded with a three-run shot of his own for the Irish in the bottom frame to send the game into extras.

Mainland beat Atlantic County Tech, 6-1, behind a three-hit day from Devin Sharkey. He had two runs, while Clayton Sands drove in two. Tony Santa Maria scored the lone Red Hawks run with a solo home run in the sixth.

Cory Kessler went 3-for-4 with four RBIs to lead Egg Harbor Township to an 11-0 win over Atlantic City. Robbi Petracci had a triple and two RBIs for the Eagles.

Haddonfield beat Sterling, 12-2, after scoring eight runs in the fourth inning to take a 12-1 lead. Steve DiTomaso and Matt Stamm both had two runs and two RBIs.

Rancocas Valley scored eight runs in the first inning of its 15-4 five-inning win over Bordentown. The Red Devils then added its last seven runs in the fourth inning.

Millville beat Vineland, 6-3.
