Dom Picone pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts to lead the Garnet Valley baseball team past Harriton, 5-0, on Thursday. The University of Rhode Island recruit allowed only two hits. Cole Palis hit a triple, double and had two RBIs. Steve Theisen had a triple and one RBI.

Haverford High rallied and scored three runs in the seventh inning to edge Strath Haven, 4-3. Tom Mann went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Dan Kelleher had one RBI and earned the win with four strikeouts.

Mason Hicks, Justin Butler and Nolan Byrnes each hit a double and had one RBI as Quakertown defeated Central Bucks East, 5-2.

Sarah Hartigan’s nine goals led St. Hubert past Bishop McDevitt, 21-6. Alexa May recorded four goals and Tori Wolstenholme had two goals and two assists.

Swimming
Penn Charter girls’ swimming coach Crystal Keelan has been named one of two coaches of Team USA’s swimming team at the 2019 FINA World Junior championships in Budapest and Hungary, which starts in August. In the past two years, she’s helped Penn Charter win the Inter-Ac and Eastern Interscholastic swimming and diving championships.
Last fall, Keelan was the head coach of Team USA at the Youth Olympic games.
