Boys' Basketball

Khalil Turner, a Rider University recruit, scored 28 points to lead the Sankofa Freedom boys' basketball team past Springside Chestnut Hill, 58-53, on Monday. Scott Spann added 13 points.

The Phelps School lost, 51-44, to Mercy Career Tech. Shaun Doyle tallied 15 points and Wayne Styles scored 11.

New Foundations edged Chad, 65-57, behind Jordan Gombs' 27 points. Omar Palmer scored nine points and Joey Nugent recorded eight.

Sharrod Lewis notched 17 points in Prep Charter’s 68-42 win against Parkway Center City. James Green scored 10 points.

Tajmir Hunt scored 22 points as Roxborough rolled past KIPP DuBois, 89-61. Sean Robinson added 12 points and Sean Lee notched 10.

Bishop McDevitt defeated Northeast, 77-36, as Robert Smith scored 19 points. Seneca Willoughby recorded 11 points.

Darien Bradford scored 22 points and Joshua Forker added 14 to help Faith Christian beat Jenkintown, 66-41. Owen Bradford tallied 12 points and Isaiah Robinson had 10.

Girls' Basketball

St. Basil topped Villa Joseph Marie, 65-28, thanks to Casey Remolde’s 14 points. Shannon Remolde recorded 10 points and Sammie White added eight.

Grace Gormley’s 16 points led the Christian Academy past Dock Mennonite, 41-10. Britney Dike tallied 12 points.

Madison Brady netted 17 points as Phila. Academy Charter defeated MaST Charter, 47-42, in overtime. Casey Bivenour scored 14 points and Amanda Devine added 12.

Khailynne Mitchell and Phyllis Fugah each scored 22 points in Paul Robeson’s 72-24 victory over Sayre.

Parkway West lost to GAMP, 37-19. Jo Morrison scored 17 points.
