Saturday’s Southeastern Pa. Roundup: Episcopal Academy senior girls’ lacrosse captains reach milestones in win over Radnor
The top games and highlights from Saturday's Southeastern Pennsylvania action.

Two Churchwomen reached milestones as Episcopal Academy beat Owen J. Roberts, 16-12, at the Katie Samson Festival at Radnor High School on Saturday. Izzy Rohr had her 200th career draw control, and Olivia Dirks won her 500th.
In other Katie Samson Festival action, Harriton beat Great Valley, 20-2. Lucy Dwyer and Katelin Williams each led Harriton with four goals. Maddie Henderson and Allie Schwab each had hat tricks. Schwab also had seven assists.
Radnor beat Unionville, 11-7, after trailing by two goals at halftime. The Raiders outscored Unionville 9-3 in the second half. Ellie Mueller had a team-high five goals. Cate Cox had a hat trick and two assists.
Garnet Valley’s Reagan Nealon had a five-point game as the Jaguars beat Notre Dame, 13-9. Reagan and Kara Nealon each had three goals, Madi McKee led Garnet Valley with four goals.
Agnes Irwin scored 13 first-half goals as it beat Villa Maria, 19-15, to drop the Hurricanes’ record to 12-1. Emily Wills scored six goals for the Owls. Julianne Carey, Natalie Pansini and Marissa White each had hat tricks. Abby Walheim led Villa Maria with six goals.

Emily Matson scored five goals and had two assists in the George School’s 15-8 win over Lower Moreland. Alexandra Long had four goals and an assist for the Cougars. Aislinn Carty and Eva Kinnel each scored twice.

Kaely Cristello scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, to help Marple Newtown beat Oxford, 12-7. Kylie Gioia led the Tigers with five goals. Freshmen Ella D’Alessandro and Gabby Vanderslice scored their first career goals.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Shipley beat Harriton, 6-5, in overtime at the Katie Samson Festival. Braedan Lang scored the game-winning goal for the Gators. Luke Grayum led Shipley with two goals. Robbie DePetris made 17 saves for Harriton.
Episcopal Academy beat Radnor, 8-6. Gabe Furey scored a team-high four goals for the Churchmen. Rowan Brumbaugh scored twice.
Gunnar Bogorowski and Noah Spratt each had a hat trick as Germantown Academy beat Hill School, 11-6. Liam Rosato won 15 of the 20 faceoffs he took and had an assist. Wills Jordan and Gavin Derham each had a goal and two assists.

Archbishop Wood lost, 13-7, to Saucon Valley. Dan Waltrich had a hat trick for the Vikings.
Softball
Notre Dame scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat Episcopal Academy, 5-3, in the Inter-Ac League. Caroline Adams had a two-run single to tie the game before Bianca Rosato’s two-run single put the Irish ahead. Winning pitcher Grace Jackson struck out eight and had an RBI walk. Kate Bradley and Hana Jackson each had two hits for Notre Dame.

Morgan Chapman earned the win in the circle and drove in all three runs in Ridley’s 3-2 win over Cardinal O’Hara. After a two-out single by Sammy Williams and walk by Ashley Shanks in the bottom of the sixth, Chapman hit a three-run homer to right field. Chapman also struck out five hitters.

Penn Charter scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead in its 6-3 win over Nazareth Academy. Winning pitcher Anastasia Lewis struck out 11 and hit a double. Abbey Quinn and Luciana Regalbuto each had a double and an RBI.

Ada Wagar’s leadoff homer set the tone for the George School in its 13-5 win over Lower Moreland. Wagar went 4-for-5, while Annie Borovskiy went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs. Caitlyn Mihalik improved her record to 9-1 and hit an RBI triple. Mackenzie Sheehan and Sofia Frascella each had three hits.
Baseball
Delco Christian scored nine runs in the bottom of the second inning as it beat Jenkintown, 16-6, in Bicentennial League Constitution Division action. Winning pitcher Tyler Rossini hit a three-run homer and a triple and reached base three times. Robert Lucas hit a grand slam and reached base four times.

New Hope-Solebury beat Bristol, 14-5, in a Bicentennial League Independence Division matchup. Cam Mertz had a home run and four RBIs, and Connor Campbell had a home run and three RBIs.

Bishop Shanahan had a five-run top of the seventh inning in its 11-3 win over West Chester Henderson in the Ches-Mont League’s National Division. Sammi Whitehill went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Eagles. Kurt Pollard went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Matt Bertolami went 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Germantown Academy beat Penn Charter, 7-3, in Inter-Ac play. The Patriots scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead. Winning pitcher Jack Popolizio had a double and two RBIs. Alex Browne had three hits and two RBIs. Demetrius DeRamus had two doubles for Penn Charter.

Perkiomen School beat Westtown, 15-3, in five innings. Perkiomen’s Zach Smith, Chris Pow and David Smith each hit doubles to start the fifth inning before Jayden Kemp hit a two-run homer. Tony Holden hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning for the Panthers. Edrick Padilla had two doubles, including a two-run double in the first inning.
Boys’ Tennis
Upper Darby’s Brandon Caban qualified for the state singles championship with three wins at the District 1 Class AAA singles tournament this weekend. The top four finishers in the tournament qualify for the state singles championship on May 24 at the Hershey Racquet Club. Caban became the first boy in school history to qualify for the tournament, five years after his brother Brett Caban qualified in doubles.
Caban advanced to the district semifinal round by beating Wissahickon’s Andrew Tran, 6-3, 6-4, on Saturday. On Friday, he beat Abington’s Isaac Rockower, 6-2, 6-2, and Holy Ghost’s Keegan Pietrak, 6-3, 6-3. Great Valley’s Sameer Gangoli beat Caban in the semifinal round.
Gangoli and Unionville’s Tristan and Ethan Bradley also qualified for the state singles tournament. Gangoli and Tristan Bradley will play for the district title on May 11.
